Maia is the daughter of unnamed parents and the sister to an unnamed deceased brother (Shadowhunters: 2.16). Furthermore, she is the past lover of Jordan Kyle (Shadowhunters: 2.03, 2.18, 3.07, 3.20), Jace Herondale (Shadowhunters: 2.13) and Simon Lewis (Shadowhunters: 2.17, 3.13). Finally, she is the friend of Luke Garroway and Clary Fairchild (Shadowhunters: 2.03, 2.13).
Background
Maia is a werewolf and this “means that she’s faster and more ferocious than any human could hope to be” (Cross 33). Additionally, Maia became a werewolf after being turned by her former lover Jordan Kyle when he lost control (Shadowhunters: 2.03, 2.18, 3.07, 3.20). Currently, Maia is the bartender at the Hunter’s Moon, studies marine biology and is the Head of the New York City Werewolf Pack (Shadowhunters: 2.03, 2.16, 3.13).
