Magnus is the son of an unnamed mundane mother who committed suicide and Asmodeus (Shadowhunters: 2.05, 3.02). He is also the son of an unnamed stepfather whom he killed, when his stepfather blamed him for his mother’s suicide (Shadowhunters: 2.15). Additionally, Magnus is the friend of Ragnor Fell, Raphael Santiago and Caterina Loss (Shadowhunters: 1.12, 2.04, 2.10). Furthermore, he is the friend of Clary Fairchild and Simon Lewis (Shadowhunters: 1.01, 2.02). Additionally, he is also the friend and brother-in-law of Isabelle and Max Lightwood and the friend and adoptive brother-in-law of Jace Herondale (Shadowhunters: 1.04, 2.08, 3.22). Finally, he is the lover and husband of Alec Lightwood (Shadowhunters: 1.12, 3.22).
