 The English Field

English: Welcome

To begin, “an English major is someone who has decided, against all kinds of pious, prudent advice and all kinds of fears and resistances, to major, quite simply, in becoming a person” (Edmundson). With that said, an English major learns the skills of communication and critical thinking during their journey. This section will take a brief look at how I became an English major, and how the skills one attains from this degree can be used in and out of the workforce. In addition, this section will give examples of the potential jobs that an English major can pursue upon their graduation.
